ABOUT ABOUT

Don't miss the Black Maskers Drama Club's powerful production of The Laramie Project:  Ten Years Later.  This story is a sequel to The Laramie Project, which tells the story of the aftermath of the 1998 murder of Matthew Shepard, a gay University of Wyoming student.  Members of the Tectonic Theatre Project traveled to Laramie, Wyoming and conducted interviews with members of the town, which formed the basis for the play.

Ten years later, five members of Tectonic returned to Laramie to try to understand the long-term effect of the murder.  They found a town wrestling with its legacy and its place in history... The Laramie Project:  Ten Years Later is a bold new work, which asks the question, "How does society write its own history?"

Due to serious themes and mature language, we do not recommend the production for children under age 14.
